Born and raised in Alaska, I grew up in Eagle River and graduated from Chugiak High school the class of 2000. Snowboarding and mountain biking are my pastimes of choice. I've been snowboarding since 1991. I have a season pass to Alyeska, you can usually find me there twice a week.
I've been working for Wostmann since late Feburary 2008. We are a rapidly growing software firm in Alaska primarily focused on developing web-applications in java and .net. I'm having alot of fun and learning a great deal.
I got my first taste of programming in ninth grade. I was determined to write a snowboarding game for my Ti83. the Ti83 wasn't powerful enough to do everything so I graduated to a Ti86. I couldn't hang with the assembly without anyone to show me heads or tails but I was already hooked at that point. The following year I took a computer Applications class. For the final project in the course I was permitted to write a webpage. I remember the requirements being fairly daunting at the time, amounting to a pretty detailed tour of HTML and a little bit of Java Script.
